About the Administration

The University Health Center was established in 1428 AH; It has two branches, one in Arar and the other in Rafha. The university administration supports the Health Center to achieve the highest possible standard of health care for university employees. The University Health Center provides curative services and preventative health programs in general and specialized medical clinics and other medical services such as laboratory, pharmacy, and radiology, supervised by qualified and experienced staff. The university health center also seeks to improve performance, satisfy the beneficiaries, and strive for modernization and development in line with the scientific and medical progress in Saudi Arabia.

The health center building in Arar: The size of the building is 1,200 square meters. It has two floors. The first floor consists of a reception, a women's dressing room, a pharmacy, a medical laboratory, and six specialized clinics (Dental Clinic, Pediatric Clinic, Dermatology Clinic, Ophthalmology Clinic, Obstetrics & Gynecology Clinic, and Internal Medicine clinic). The second floor consists of a reception, men's dressing room, and three general clinics.

Health Center Building in Rafha: The center provides services to university students and employees in Rafha. It has five clinics: Internal Medicine Clinic, Dental Clinic, Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic, And General Clinic.

The University Health Center also provides medical reports and sick leaves to university employees and students. The health center also provides emergency clinics and general medicine services for some female colleges, such as a medical clinic in the Science and Business colleges, a medical clinic in the College of Economics, and a medical clinic in the Community College. In addition, a mobile clinic in the male section in cooperation with the National Anti-Smoking Committee to help those who want to quit smoking. The health center also participates in sports activities and events offered by the Deanship of Student Affairs at the university (football tournaments, volleyball, swimming, athletics, and others). In addition, the health center owns a medical ambulance and a medical car to provide medical services in some areas like suburbs and villages around the city.

Mission

  • Arranging plans for the department's activities and following up on their implementation after approval.
  • Administrative and technical supervision of the medical clinics in the university and its branches, and managing coordination between them to ensure integration between its activities.
  • Providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to the university's employees.
  • Providing training opportunities for students of health colleges.
  • Examination of health fitness for job candidates and new students.
  • Approving the medical reports to be submitted to the university after verifying their authenticity.
  • Raising health awareness and enhancing health background by providing health programs and activating international health days.
  • Determining the needs of medical clinics regarding human resources, medicines, devices, tools, and all medical supplies and following up on securing them after approval.
  • Making a periodic inventory of medicines to ensure their validity and to destroy expired ones.
  • Make a periodic inventory of medical devices to ensure their validity, and return the damaged devices to the concerned department to deal with them according to the system.
  • Determining the level of performance for all activities related to administrative work, reviewing and developing it regularly after they have been approved.
  • Determining the administration's human resources, equipment, and materials needs and following up on providing them.
  • Determine the training needs of department staff and nominate them for appropriate training programmes.
  • Preparing periodic reports on the department's activities, achievements, and suggestions for developing its performance.
  • Any other tasks assigned to it within its competence.
